Classic Industries, recognizing both the emerging desire for modern suspension and drivetrain parts in vintage cars and the high caliber of parts now produced in the aftermarket, built this heavily modified 1969 Camaro.

When our team coupled the LS1 motor to a Tremac T-56 using a Keisler adapter kit we had no idea the project would take on a life of it's own within the company. Some of us took over researching available parts. Art Morrison's LS1 mounting brackets positioned the engine and transmission perfectly in Chris Alston's Chassisworks front subframe. After that, word spread and all the company gearheads checked in with their suggestions. In short order we installed
Air Ride Technologies 4-link rear. Okay, we did change to Vera-shock coilovers in the rear but only to match the front. Who knows, you may choose to run bags at all 4 corners, as they will work with the Chassisworks front end. We installed the new Painless Fuel Injection Management System and found that it's truly 'Plug & Play'. The guys at Street & Performance are great with the details and supplied us with many parts that just couldn't be found elsewhere. We also chose their serpentine belt system and headers. Our friends at Magaflow jumped in, bending one of their stainless muscle car exhaust kits to fit around the car's new 4-link rear suspension. Then came the interior. Even though we make all the original style upholstery and parts, we just couldn't go with a stock interior in this modern hot rod. We liked the low back look of Scat ProCar seats and had a set custom upholstered. With the new engine we needed a way to keep tabs on it. Covan's Classic Automotive Specialties and Auto Meter gauges handled the job nicely.

We mention bodywork last only because it's what we do everyday. We owe a big thank you to the gang at American Muscle Cars for their hard work bringing life back to our worn 69. Starting with a shell that would have made Fred Flintstone proud, we had the ultimate Quality Control project on our hands. It was a lot of work, but it was also the best way we could come up with to check all those OER quarter panels, floor pans, fenders and braces. Believe me, now we know the fit and finish is just right. In the end we had a lot of fun, but more importantly we learned a great deal from building the car. Ultimately you, our customer, will benefit from this knowledge.

At Classic Industries, we believe our ultimate responsibility is to ensure that you will get not only the parts, but also the information you need to keep your project on the road. So if it's help sorting your way through the maze of electronic parts, selecting the right belt system for your needs, selecting the right spring rate, or straightening the body on your old Camaro, Classic Industries has the experience and products to help you make the right purchase.
