If you are looking to upgrade your stock coil or want to complement the performance of your MSD 5, 6 and 7 Series Ignition, our Blaster Coils are the right choice.
The Blaster 3 Coil shares the same special windings and high voltage output as the other Blaster coils, but does not include a ballast resistor and features an extra tall tower design to improve the coil wire attachment and spark isolation.
- When you are using an MSD Ignition Control, the ignition is responsible for deliv ering the voltage to the coil so a ballast is not necessary.
- If installing on a stock, points style ignition system, a 0.8 ohm ballast resistor or resistor wiring MUST be installed.
- Extra tall second ary tower for secure coil wire connection
- Improved output coil for electronic ignitions, and MSD Ignitions (ballast resistor required for points)
- 100:1 turns ratio and lower primary resistance produce high voltage output
- MSDR ed metal canister is filled with a premium grade oil for cooling
- Supplied with a 90° spark plug style terminal and boot
- C. A. R. B. (California Air Resources Board) Approved E.O. D-40-26
