1966-71 Ford / Mercury; 390/428 FE/MEL; Engine Oil Pump Pickup w/ Screen
Replacement engine oil pump pickup tube and screen for various Ford and Mercury models with BBF FE motors including Mustang, Cougar, Torino, and Ranchero. The pick-up tube/oil screen assembly is an essential part of an engines oiling system. It not only provides the lubrication oil but protects the oil pump from contaminants in oil supply system. Contaminates enter your oil system via engine wear, extended time between oil changes and other internal engine sources. These contaminates can interfere with the proper oil flow and pressure spring functions resulting in engine damage and/or failure. It is always advisable to install an new oil pump pick-up tube/screen with every oil pump installation. Replaces Ford part# C6OZ-6622-A.
