1958-76 Ford/Mercury; Mustang/Falcon/Comet/F-100; Clutch Pilot Bushing; 1-3/8" O.D.
Replacement clutch pilot bushing for various Ford and Mercury models including Mustang, Falcon, Comet, and F-Series Truck. The pilot bushing is located in the center of the crankshaft where it mates up the the transmission input shaft. A worn pilot bushing will make a whining or grinding noise especially when the clutch is disengaged. A worn or failed pilot bushing can cause clutch malfunction, shifting malfunction, and even failure of the transmission itself if not repaired right away. It is s good idea to always replace the pilot bushing every time the clutch is serviced. This bushing will extend the life of the transmission and help restore smooth, reliable shift quality.
