Over a period of years, the starter motor braces are usually lost or discarded when the starter is replaced. Without this brace, undue strain will occur to the starter motor body causing wear or damage. When this happens you will need to replace the st arter. This is the rear support brace that attaches the back of the starter to the engine block on 1964-75 small block engines. |
