This factory service replacement crankshaft oil slinger for all Mopar V8 engine applications is mounted between the harmonic balancer and the front of the crankshaft. The oil slinger protects the engine in two ways- by keeping excessive oil a way from the crankshaft front seal and also by forcing oil back onto the timing chain, keeping it properly lubricated even under heavy load.
