Now you can convert from carburetion to TBI without having to replace your manifold. This adapter bolts on any square or spread bore manifold and accepts any 43mm bore throttle body from 4.3L, 5.0L and 5.7L GM engines.
If your vehicle already has an electric fuel pump with a return line in place, you might not need to replace it. If this situation fits your car, consider the Throttle Body Set. The crown jewel of the Atomic EFI system is of course the thrott le body itself. MSD engineers spent countless hours designing the unit resulting in great performance and appearance. Compact design is similar in size to a carburetor, yet contains an Electronic Control Unit, four injectors, Idle Air Control solenoid, TP S, MAP and Intake Air Temperature (IAT). Set Includes: Throttle Body Power module (with wide band O2 sensor)M Handheld controller For the master Set see part # 2900 Important: For an existing fuel system to work with the Atomic, we recommend the system be able to maintain 42psi of constant pressure and use a 3/8" or "Dash 6" fuel line rated for EFI. The Atomic can support a return fuel line if needed for your application. Emissions Notes: This part is legal for use on Emissions Controlled Vehicles when used in accordance with t he manufacturers application guide because it has a California Air Resources Board Executive Order number or is a direct or consolidated replacement part. Brand new to the industry, MSD Atomic EFI set is for anyone planning to convert from carburetor to EFI. Includes throtttle body, power module (with wide band O2 sensor) and handheld controller. Supports up to 525hp (at the crank). Atomic EFI outshines competition in ease of installation and performance! Annular ring injection design produces air/fuel charge with better mixture as well as even distribution among cylinders. Better air fuel ratio's mean better idle quality, better starting and better overall drivability throughout RPM range. Features: Internal Fuel Rail: MSD designed the fuel rail to be integral to the throttle body assembly. Not only does this present a sleek appearance but also removes fitt ing connections where leaks could develop. Note that with a single fuel line, you can bring the fuel line up from the back or use the front fitting. Annular Rings: These were incorporated to deliver superior atomization of fuel mixtu re, resulting in the best air/fuel mixture. The design ensures best possible fuel mixture delivery to each cylinder. Mount and Blades: The Atomic throttle body bolts right in place of a standard square bore carburetor and accepts linkage of most carburetors. Throttle inlets are 1.75" in diameter and ride in precision roller bearings for smooth pedal transition. ECU and Sensors The ECU is integral to the throttle body. Unique design reduces wiring and keeps your EFI installation easier than ever. Better yet, we incorporated the TPS, MAP, IAT and fuel pressure sensors into the ECU. The only sensors you will need to connect are the coolant temperature and oxygen sensor. Injectors: Fuel de livery is provided by four precision 80-pound injectors. Injectors feature stainless ball and seat metering method for maximum internal sealing. For secure mount, injectors are sealed between housing and cast fuel rails. Throttle Position Sen sor: Atomic's TPS is unlike any other. It's automatic, self-calibrating, non-contact sensor means you don't have to worry about configuring during set up. You also won't need to replace when contacts wear out.
