1960-72 Dodge, Plymouth A-Body; Wheel Spacer Set; Aluminum; For 9" or 10" Drums / Disc; Front or Rear; One Pair; 1/8" Wide

Small bolt pattern Aluminum Wheel Spacers for 1960 to 1972 A-body Mopars. These are unique because of the small bolt pattern wheels found only on Dodge or Plymouth A-body vehicles. Aftermarket selection of rims often times have a backspace that does not allow for a larger tire size because the tire rubs the upper ball joints. Had the rim been pushed outward, then it would allow for clearance both at the upper ball joint and the front lip of the fender when the wheel is turned. Now, all 14?, 15?, 16? wheels plus custom size rims with 6?, 7?, 8? or 10? width can fix the backspace problem with these aluminum (for heat resistance) spacers.

All wheel manufacturers can only go at best to a 4-1/8? backspace. Most aftermarket wheels are 4.25? backspace. Most popular wheel / tire combinations require the backspace to be 4? to allow the rim center to be further away from the hub allowing room for the inside of the tire, so that it will NOT rub on the upper ball joint. If you have an 1/8? problem as the rim has a 4-1/8? backspace? here is the fix. If you have a 1/4" problem as the backspace is 4-1/4 (standard offset), then purchase (2) sets. Max amount that can be used on these vehicles are (2) sets of 1/8? spacers. You cannot use more than 2 sets because you do not have enough thread on the stud to properly tighten down the wheel. To run additional spacers, the studs would have to be removed and replaced with longer studs. Made in the USA.
