Classic EP140 is a high viscosity mineral based gear oil containing antioxident, anti-wear and extreme pressure additives to protect against problems due to oil oxidation, gear corrosion and wear. This gear oil is recommended for: conventional Spiral Bevel Final drives and Mild Hypoid axles as well as Spur and Helical gears and other applications were API: GL-4 is recommended.
Applications
- For hypoid and non-hypoid applications and some Manual Transmissions
- Also use where "Castrol Hi-Press" has been specified
- Important: Not recommended for vehicles with catalytic converters due to higher Zinc and Phosphorus content
