1947-53 Chevy Truck; Alternator Conversion Wiring Harness; 6V to 12V

This harness is designed to convert a generator to an internal regulated alternator. This harness is used along with existing stock harness. If your Truck is a daily driver, you may want to consider converting the old 6 volt system to 12 volt, switching out the generator to an alternator, or upgrading the old alternator to a more powerful SI series alternator. Idling on a busy freeway in a classic or older truck or car can be a nightmare if the electrical system isn't in top shape. This problem can be compounded by the need for extra power to run the radio, air conditioning, heater, wipers, etc. NOTE: This is an easy conversion that can be used with 1985 and earlier SI series alternators. On vehicles where an internal regulated alternator is desired, this provides the necessary connections for the new alternator without any plug-in.
