1966 Mustang Street Mod Fastback Body Shell
R3 reconditioned body shells are started with an original classic Mustang body and reconditioned to a solid build platform. By starting with a body that we have sourced for you, you will avoid DMV hassles and import restrictions. We actually rebuild the original body allowing you to retain the classic VIN, title, and registration from that vehicle.
Every one of our reconditioned body shells starts out as an original Mustang. After media blasting, each panel is assessed as part of our 86-point inspection to determine if the panel will be reused or replaced. This inspection insures we don't miss a single bracket. We then remove any panels needing to be replaced at the factory weld points and the entire panel is replaced. We do not use patch panels. The new panels are then welded back into place at factory weld points. This work is completed by our team of master welders using our proprietary jigs. These jigs not only improve manufacturing productivity, they also ensure that our bodies are built to spec every time creating a pristine platform for your build.
The Street Mod Series shell has the front and rear suspension installed with brakes, power rack and pinion, 9" axle housing assembly with third member, axles and disc brakes. You can get FM110702 aluminum or FM110703B steel shock tower replacement panels, and FM110701 media blast package as options. These options will save you time and money having it done before the body is sent out to you.
NOTE: A $450.00 crate charge is included with the price of the body shell. This is a special order and will be paid for in advance and is non-refundable and non-returnable. Dropped shipped from vendor via truck freight.
