87 Short Bed Truck 16G Fuel Tank

This 1987 GM/GMC Short Bed Truck 16G (gallon) Fuel Tank is a genuine GM replacement part. The corresponding GM part number is 12382991. It is comprised of Zinc coated steel to resist corrosion. The complete gas tank assembly is for 1987 Chevrolet and GMC R/V series short wheel base with fuel injection trucks. It comes complete with the locking ring for the fuel sender and the fuel sender's sealing O-ring. The FT5008A is used on either the LH or RH side and utilizes a small 1-5/8" inside diameter filler pipe. This specific tank measures 42 7/8" x 14 1/8" x 11" and has a 16-gallon (61 litre) capacity. The FT5008A is the 1987 fuel injection version that retains the same dimensions and capacity of the FT5007A with specifically designed features for fuel injected applications. You must use the existing neck unless specified. The fuel tank is shipped double oversize.
