Drop spindles are the best way to lower you truck while maintaining a stock ride and handling. This kit includes a pair of 2" lowering spindles for 1/2 Ton or 3/4 Ton, 2WD models with F44 Heavy Duty Chassis option (6 Lug Pattern Only). Produced in high grade iron material for superior durability. This set is designed to provide a 2" drop that maintains a comfortable ride quality. Includes RH and LH spindles. Sold in pairs.

Note: These spindles will only work on 2 wheel drive, 1/2 Ton GMT400 models with F44 HD Chassis option or 3/4 Ton GMT400 models with optional C5Z light duty chassis. Both the F44 and the C5Z options resulted in 6-Lug wheels. This set will not fit square body trucks or 8-lug GMT400 models.

• The F44 option increased the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of a C1500 truck from the standard ~6,100 lbs to ~6,600 lbs. It included a larger rear axle, heavier-duty springs, and upgraded brakes compared to a standard half-ton models without the option.
• The F44 option was available on regular and extended cab 1500 trucks (GMT400 platform in the 1988-1998 model year range).
• The C5Z option on the light-duty C2500 trucks (7,200 lbs GVWR) used the same 6-lug axles and shared front suspension components with the 1500 models.
• The 6-Lug Connection: The 6-lug wheel pattern is a key indicator for distinguishing between different truck models with similar-sounding options.
• A C1500 truck with the F44 option has a 6-lug wheel pattern.
• Although rare, from 1988-91, there were also C2500 LD trucks with C5Z option that also had the 6-lug wheel pattern
• This spindle set will NOT fit 8-lug models.
