Volant Cool Air Intakes are all about providing performance while adding a look of style and attitude to your fuel injected Truck/SUV. This is the only intake that draws cool air from outside the HOT engine compartment! This is accomplished by concealing the high flow gauze cone filter inside a roto-molded cool air box, forcing the intake to draw air from the location General Motors designed the cool air to be located (through the fender and grill areas). This provides the coolest air charge to your fuel injection and creates the most horsepower possible. By isolating the air filter it, prevents excessive engine noise while still providing the optimum performance. Volant manufactures each cool air box with a stylish look and connects the components using high performance silicone couplers. On 1999-2003 1500 Models with 5.3L/6.0L V8 engines, we offer the optional ôAir Scoopö to draw even cooler air off the ground.
