If you really want to go fast and out-handle everyone else at the a utocross or road race course in your first-gen F-Body, independent rear is really the only way to go and Heidt's new bolt-in independent rear makes it easy to ditch that solid axle.

The IRS is designed specifically to handle power, built to hand le up to 600 HP. This high performance package features heavy duty upper links and CV joints. The upper link produces -.5° camber curve at 3/4 of bump, especially during very high cornering loads. The forward struts are attached to the subframe conne ctors, ensuring the wheels stay in place under hard acceleration and the inboard mount disc brakes offer better weight distribution. What's more, each IRS is tailored to you with your choice of 3.00, 3.25 3.50, 3.70,3.90 or 4.11 gears, making it easy tob uild for maximum performance.
