1960-67 Ford/Mercury; 6-Cylinder; Clutch Pilot Bushing

Replacement clutch pilot bushing for various 1960-67 Ford and Mercury 6-cylinder models with standard transmissions. Applications include Mustang, Falcon, Comet, and Bronco. This bearing is designed for use on 144, 170, and 200 cid straight-6 engines. The pilot bushing is located in the center of the crankshaft where it mates up the the transmission input shaft. A worn pilot bushing will make a whining or grinding noise especially when the clutch is disengaged. A worn or failed pilot bushing can cause clutch malfunction, shifting malfunction, and even failure of the transmission itself if not repaired right away. It is s good idea to always replace the pilot bushing every time the clutch is serviced. This bushing will extend the life of the transmission and help restore smooth, reliable shift quality.
